Bio
Originally from DC and NYC, Lawrence Hughes Stern graduated from Brown University and received his MFA in writing from UCLA. He has won several awards for his writing - screenplays, stage plays, and songs. Among them: a Samuel Goldwyn Award, The Steve Lawrence/Eydie Gorme Songwriting-Musical Theater Scholarship, several in-house UCLA awards, and finalist for The O'Neill Festival, Actors Theater of Louisville Ten Minute Play Contest, The Chesterfield Grant, and semi finalist for the Fade in Awards.
Currently, he has a dramatic feature being packaged called "Intensive Care". He has been hired to write and rewrite many screenplays and, in his spare time, enjoys playing piano and singing at events on both coasts.
