PROMISING ALT-ROCK UPSTARTS LAYERS RELEASE DEBUT EP

The digital and hard copy release of Layers, the hotly-anticipated debut EP from midlands based alt-rock band Layers, will be available to purchase online from Monday 16 September 2013, through 'Till Deaf Do Us Party' records.

In just one year since the band was first conceived, Layers have wasted absolutely no time turning heads with their unusual yet seamless blend of heavy rock and soul, earning a reputation of having “Unmissable live shows” and being deemed a band with “big ideas and a big future”.

Layers were made 'Featured Artist Of The Week' by Alex Baker on Kerrang! Radio, who described their debut track 'Corners' (not on the EP) as “Soulful, brilliant and interesting”, the video for which has already had well over 4000 views on Youtube. Punktastic have recently picked up on the band, running an Introducing feature. “Layers have built a name for themselves over the past twelve months. Recognised for their passionate live shows filled with energetic on-stage antics”.

Since they formed, Layers have shared stages with contemporaries Exit International, Straight Lines and Scholars gaining them more and more exposure. Testament to their hard work they performed at this year’s Alternative Great Escape in Brighton, supported US pop punk heavyweights Everclear and were handpicked by singer Colin Doran from Hundred Reasons to support them and Freeze the Atlantic at a sold out show in St Albans.

To celebrate the release, Layers will be playing both Birmingham (20th Sept) and London (23rd Sept) release shows. The band will also be performing at Underground Festival (28th Sept) alongside the likes of Lewis Watson, Mallory Knox, Marmozets and Gnarwolves.
Layers will be available from all major digital stores.

With an EP ready to drop and a fistful of great shows in the pipeline, things are looking promising for Layers.
