Layne Weldon is an independent singer/songwriter, producer, audio mixer and musician originally from Tallassee, AL who live in Atlanta, GA. Prior to rejoining the entertainment industry, she worked as an audio-visual tech for universities. Before leaving music for some time to be an audio-visual tech, she played live music throughout the southeastern United States and worked for a regional theater. Layne, who graduated from the University of North Alabama where she received her degree in music, now fully dedicates her time to working on music since releasing two singles in the last year with one of the singles titled "A Little Lovin" with more music to come. Keeping balance between life and work, being a good partner, family member and friend is what Layne Weldon is all about. She's a partner, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and cousin with her roles describing the places she's been, the people met along the way, and the experience she's had stating "I believe the experience in our lives are what make us who we are." Weldon believe success in song placements, creating a larger client base an audio mixer and building relationships with others in the music industry is key.
Layne, who was given the opportunity of time and availability to rejoin music after moving to Atlanta, feels there's much to the support and credits the encouragement to her loving partner, Tracy. Honestly for many years, she had little interest in music and then suddenly it was all she wanted to do again with hope of encouraging others to keep going while she continues to spread love and positivity through music while honing her craft. Keeping faith in herself and her abilities to be successful boils down to staying out of her own way and understanding that music is subjecting stating "some will like you and some will not." Layne wants to be remembered as a good person, a successful singer/songwriter with music that will continue to live on through others stating "I hope my songs made those who listen feel something while making the most of my time and to leave some good memories behind. - Pride Entertainment Magazine

Bio

I am a singer/songwriter living in Atlanta, GA. After achieving a Bachelors of Science in Music from the University of North Alabama I began a career as a theater technician  at The Alabama Shakespeare Festival. During that time I also worked as a singer/songwriter and musician. Some key accomplishments include a small tour to Texas, guitarists for Twelfth Night (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), live radio interviews/performances (99.9 Auburn /WEGL 99.1), a live jazz album recording (University of North Alabama) and several shows throughout the southeast.  I have also been blessed to have performed with many amazing musicians and hope to continue building relationships and collaborating with new artists.
After taking a break from music for quite a while, I am returning as a songwriter and producer. During that break I worked as a programmer and technician for audio/visual departments at a few universities. I also achieved a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Computer Science from Troy University as well as received certifications as an audio visual technician/programmer. I hope to take the technical skills I  have learned and apply that to producing, recording and engineering music. I've started a small studio and hope to grow from this new beginning.
