"Lazee - Hold On"

Lazee is about to launch in the UK with his monster anthem ‘Hold On’.

Having spent his childhood in Malmö, Sweden, Lazee was sent to London aged 12 to try and make something of his life. During his six year stay here, the young Swede developed his love for hip hop even further and by the time he moved back to Scandinavia in 2004, he was ready to complete his first album. Back at home, he hooked up with producer Ishi, and the pair hit the studio to start working on a new sound. What came out of that studio was a fusion of hip hop, grime, house, and drum & bass, all topped off by Lazee’s fiery, electrifying lyrics.

Now ‘Hold On,’ collaboration with Swedish rock group Neverstore, is poised to take Lazee up to the next step in his career.

"Lazee ft. Mohombi"

New video for the last Top-10 Lazee's single "Do It" is out.
Lazee has not long yet but quite succesful career in Sweden. He debuted 2 years ago with single "Rock Away" becoming big hit during Spring 2008 and later released another also noticed by audience single "Hold On" featuring popular rock-band Neverstore and the album "Setting Standards" same year. Together with Danny they also released single "Just Like That" in Poland. After a short pause Lazee came back this year with another hit "Calling Out" with rock-vocals in a style of "Hold On" but this time featuring Apollo Drive, that one and new song "Do It" both also became Top-10 hits and right now another successfuly promoted single "Can I Be The One" with his participation is released by Norlie & KKV.
About Mohombi - first highlight of his career was qualifying to Melodifestivalen-2005 as part of Group Avalon with the song "Big up" and after that he was working with many songwriting teams - Bloodshy & Avant, Twin, Jonas Jeberg, RedOne and others.
"Do It" is very nice catchy summer hit working well with proper music video rolling around parties, pools, cars and girls in bikini so relax and have some summer fun with Lazee and Mohambi. - Swedish Stereo

"4 Swedish-Grammy Nominated Urban Artist Lazee from Sweden Signs Single ‘Hold On’"

Mawuli Kulego aka Lazee, was born in 1985 and raised in Malmö, Sweden with his mom and two sisters. In 1998, his mother decided that Malmo didn't provide the right environment for her son and sent Lazee to London where he could "become something". Six years later finds Lazee back in Sweden with the ambition of finishing his first hip-hop album. Lazee discovered hip-hop in the early 90's and at ten years old he wrote his first rhyme. Back then, it was just for fun. The big turning point came when he heard "Players Anthem" by Notorious B.I.G. During his years in London, Lazee recorded a mixtape named ''IT IS WHAT IT IS'' which was hosted by famed DJ Kay Slay in NYC.

Back in Sweden, Lazee passionately spent most of his time in the studio recording, hooking up with Producer Ishi and together they began working on a new sound. A hybrid of hip-hop, house, grime and drum&bass, rock with a dash of R&B. This special blend was crowned by Lazee's lyrical rhymes which are always delivered with high energy. It was this sound that attracted the attention of Sony Music Sweden, specifically with the track "Rock Away", which would become the first single from his forthcoming album ‘Setting Standards’. When the single came out, it rushed the charts: #1 on iTunes; Smash Hit of the Week on NRJ; Voice Choice on The Voice; and Fresh on MTV, with over 120 spins a week. Lazee’s second single “Hold On” is a rock rap duet featuring fellow Swede Nevestore, went straight to 2nd place on the Sweden Official Charts and “Hold On” is the 1st single of his International Release 2009 that’s already been picked up in the UK, USA, Germany, France, and Japan.

Lazee is a hard working young man who's been brought up with the knowledge that nothing comes for free. While his medium is hip-hop, he's not only a hip-hop artist, he's purely an entertainer. He has the confidence, attitude and, above all, the talent, to take him all the way to the top. In the words of producer, collaborator and friend Ishi: "The whole world is our playing field, and our goal is to make our mark". - AltSounds

"LAZEE (Sweden)"

Lazee is the artist that brightens the European hip gop scene and takes it to another level. Only 22 years old, Lazee delivers rhymes and energy in a way that is rarely seen.

Lazee grew up with his mother and two sisters in Malmö in the south of Sweden. At the age of 12, his mother decided that Malmö was not enough for him and that he needed to experience another environment. So she sent Lazee to London where he was supposed to "become somebody".

Lazee discovered hip hop in the beginning of the 1990's and he wrote his first song at the age of 10. At that time, it was mostly for fun - the big turnaround was when he heared "players Anthem" with Notorious BIG & Junior Mafia.

During the years in London, Lazee did several songs for mixtapes. He quickly became a member of the biggest group in the area, Skrilla Kidz, that later became an inspiration for the establishment of SkrillaMusic in Malmö. Back in Sweden, Lazee passionately spent most time in the studio. First out was his mixtape-album presented by New York's much respected DJ Kay Slay.

In the summer 2007, Lazee went to Stockholm to work with producer Ishi and DJ Sebastian Ingrosso. After the first meeting in the studio, the song "Rock Away" was created.

A few months later, Lazee met with the record company BorderBlaster International who became interested in spreading his music internationally. Lazee became part of the "Scandinavian Hip Hop Invasion" that was launched in several countries.

In France, the public loved Lazee's sound and the singel "Rock Away" directly hit the playlists on both TV and radio. During the spring 2008, Lazee went to Paris several times to record with French artists Mat Pokora and Tyron Carter.

The French success was spread to the US West Coast. When Fred Dust from Limp Bizkits heard the song "Rock Away" he immediately was tempted to make a collaboration and contacted Lazee to invite him to L.A. to record.

Lazee's music stands for a new sound where house meets hip hop and rock. The album "Setting Standards" is a mix of genres and musical inspirations. The album has everything from a souly, 80's funk like Back to 85 to hard and nice drum and bass Heatless.

"I want to be remembered as something like a European Legend" - Lazee - BorderBlaster Music

"Lazee X Swedish House Mafia - Sweden to the World!"

We got this brand new track from Swedens no1 MC and badboy Lazee plus the worlds biggest dj trio SHM. I knew that they partied together so I guess it’s only natural that they collaborated on a party anthem. Don’t ask me about the “Skin on my leather couch” part. As a veggie I def feel that you should leave all leather to the animal it belongs to. I don’t mind the kinky part thou. Can we get a Congorock remix of this one? THIS IS SWEDEN TO THE WORLD! - Discobelle

International class, attitude and widely genre sound distinguish Lazee from other urban international artists.

Mawuli Kulego, aka Lazee was born in 1985 in Scandinavia’s southernmost providence, Malmo/Sweden, where he and his two sisters were raised by their mother.

In 1998, his mother decided that Malmö didn’t provide the right environment for her son. She sent Lazee to London where she felt he would be able to “become something”. Six years later, Lazee moved back to Sweden with the ambition of finishing his first Hip-Hop album.

His first Mixtape “It Is What It Is” was hosted by the no 1 Urban Dj KaySlay (NY) and was a success. This mixtape was the start of a new collaboration with super producer Ishi. They worked together to create a sound that is best described as a hybrid of Hip-Hop, House, Grime and Drum&Bass with a dash of R&B. It was this new sound that got Sony BMG’s (Scandinavia) attention with “Rock Away”, which was the first single on his first released album “Setting Standards”.

“Rock Away” came out of nowhere and rushed in on the charts without being officially released. It earned a no. 2 spot on iTunes, Smash Hit of the Week on NRJ, and Voice Choice on The Voice and Fresh on MTV with over 120 spins a week. By this point, it had become very evident that Lazee was a magnetic entertainer. He possesses the confidence, attitude, and talent to capture his fans both on and off stage.

Lazee has had the privilege of being a supporting act for international artists such as Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Ne-Yo, Wyclef Jean, Rick Ross and Musiq Souldchild.

His hit single ”Calling Out” was no. 1 on iTunes Sweden for several weeks and made him an ambassadour for a highly reputable Swedish charity organisation that advocates children’s rights in society. "Calling Out” is now the signature song of the organisation.

Lazee’s international hit single ”Hold on” came no 14 on top 100 at TV Air play in the UK and is currently on high rotation. ”Hold on” was also released in the USA in March, and the same success as in the UK is anticipated.

Lazee finished his second studio album ”Supposed To Happen” that was released on October 10th, 2011. The album includes artists such as Eric Turner, Adam Tensta, Danny, Madcon and Mohombi.
