Lazyrus... MC/Slam Poet/Musician/Street Performer/Producer has been performing and recording original and poignant music for almost a decade. By using obscure samples and his own musical arrangements, Lazyrus has created a universal sound that is respected by both traditional and non - traditional Hip - Hop fans alike. For the last few months, Lazyrus has been focusing on his upcoming project "13" This collection of tracks consists of all original material combining elements of Hip - Hop, Slam Poetry, Rock, Jazz, and Punk to create a new kind of musical atmosphere to partner with his uniquely mature style of topical lyric writing that touch on real life matters seemingly lost in the current arena of commercialized Hip - Hop. With a personal history of homelessness, troubles, travels, and overwhelming odds - this cat has much to say.

The "Bleeding Heart - Beat - Boxing Concrete and Livestock" is an accomplished Slam Poet having been selected to the 2008 Slam Poetry team to represent Buffalo in the National Slam Finals in Madison, Wisconsin. A versatile artist, Lazyrus has performed in a slew of local venues in the last 10 years as a battle rapper, poet, singer - songwriter and as an MC. He has even won money for harmonica playing. His influences transcend genres and include: Bob Dylan, Big Pun, Tom Waits, and Bob Marley just to name a few.Some of the highlights in his performing career include 2nd billing for "Underground Style" put on by Free Agent Records, the biggest Hip - Hop show ever in Buffalo, N.Y. and The Slam Poetry Finals at The Albright Knox Art Gallery.

An evolving artist, Lazyrus remains one of the most motivated and focused talents in any genre of music. With his mind on social and personal issues, he is constantly looking to make a change in the world and within himself this year and in the years to come under the mantra of "Inspire - There is Life in you - Do not get tired - Do not close your eyes - See the shine - Burn Brighter."
