Bio

Lazy Suzan is an aggressive hard rock band from central North Carolina. The band's style has been described as powerful with a distinct musicality. A typical show sees the band display hard edged fury offset by hauntingly melodic musical ideas. The influences each of the four members brings to the group add a flavor rarely seen in this genre. Each band member has been formally trained in music, with several collective degrees in music from the Appalachian State University School of Music. After being founded as a five-piece band in 1994, Lazy Suzan immediately began developing its own unique sound. When the original rhythm guitar player moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music copyright management, the lineup solidified with the current four members.

Lazy Suzan has been playing the club circuit in western and central North Carolina for nine years. The band's loyal following includes individuals as diverse as the band's musical range. In 1996, the band recorded its first full-length album titled Disturbulance. Lazy Suzan has several other EP releases. The band was a finalist the WVBZ (100.3, The Buzzard) Local Licks talent contest in 2001.

Driven by a constantly growing fan base, Lazy Suzan enjoys very successful repeat business in nearly all new venues that they play. The band is met by generally high accolades by club owners, bookers, and fellow bands each time they hit the stage.
