L.Charles! Born Charles R. Fletcher on April 19, in South Central California in a very dangerous area known as the Low Bottoms! Mother, Rose M. Nichols, father, Ralph Bullocks. Who are the reasons behind my love for music. Growing up and being raised in the house with different musicians was a wonderful thing. I use to try and sing befor I jumped into the hiphop scene.
But watching my parents do their thing in the garage with a full pledged band was like candy to a child. The whole neighborhood knew my folks. Knew they get down. I thought I was already a star at a very young age. I thought I was bad as a singer,if you could've been there.
Coming up in these ruff wicked streets was hard. I drifted into the street life as I got older and eventually had to go away for a long time. At an early age! It's were I grew whole, basically into a man. While being incarcerated, I started writting songs first. Then I transitioned into a hiphop finatic. Wrote my very first rap in 94. A whole song! I left that scene and transitioned into school were I must admitt, got my AA degree. While finishing my prereqs, I started taking classes in music were I made my first album on my own.
It made me stay down for this music thing and keep at it. Inwhich I'm still staying down for it. This is were all my musicianship skills derive from. School and parents. I love music and will continue to do it and pass in dowm to my children who also already have a love for it. This is L.Charles summed up.
