Bio
Being the youngest of the family and performing for her family and friends throughout her life, Louise was naturally groomed to be the performing artist she is today. Louise explored her musical talent starting with classical piano lessons in her childhood years while surrounded by her parent’s love of Jazz music and her older siblings listening to 70’s and 80’s Soul, R&B and Funk records. In high school, Louise performed in the jazz band and jazz choir where she earned the most outstanding musician award.
Louise Dawson's abilities to move between the styles of pop, classical, R&B and Jazz are attributed to not only her extensive Jazz vocal studies at both Grant McEwan University and McGill University but also her God given talent and passion to create music. She is a freelance singer, adjudicator and teacher. Her talents and experience have brought her to many cities, performing in night clubs and festivals throughout Canada and Europe. Louise is a featured singer in the cover bands “Out of the Blue” and "Dawn in the City" as well as other various bands in her hometown of Edmonton. She is currently the music teacher in a Fine Arts Academic School in Edmonton, Alberta where she teaches and directs the Concert and the Jazz band as well as the Jazz choir. Louise is currently working on new compositions for her debut album.
