- http://www.lesinrocks.com/

"Le Couleur ‘Vacances de 87′ Video, feat. French Horn Rebellion: WATCH"

Le Couleur is elegant vintage disco pop with a touch of kitsch. Their songs, mostly sung in French, bring to mind the kaleidoscopic soundscapes of Sébastien Tellier and the energy of Yelle.

Their first two EPs, with their catchy and intimate sound, propelled them to the top of Quebec’s independent radio charts. In 2010 they released their debut album, Origami which attracted the attention of local critics and press before getting international attention in 2011.

Now they have released the video for their new song “Vacances de 87,” featuring French Horn Rebellion, off their latest EP Voyage Love, and we are lucky enough to have an exclusive look for you above. And it’s got hot dudes galore, just the thing to get you going this Friday morning.

"Watch: Le Couleur ft. French Horn Rebellion – Vacances de 87"

Montreal based pop outfit Le Couleur have teamed up with French Horn Rebellion for the first single and video from the forthcoming Le Couleur EP Voyage Love due to drop 30 April via Lisbon Lux.

A super slick and decadent homage to the synth fuelled camp pop of the eighties, ‘Vacances de 87′ is unapologetic vintage disco with a suitably fitting accompanying video. - http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/

"Le Couleur " Vacances de 87" Featuring French Horn Rebbelion"

Lately Canada has been enticing my senses more and more; not only Peter Peter is one of my favorite artist as of late, but I've been consistently watching HGTV, but I digress. Today Canada showed me why you should never underestimate the polite ones.

Le Couleur it's a Canadian band that are getting ready to release their EP. "Voyage Love", and they've honored me by letting me preview it before the release in April 30th. The 5 track French speaking EP. starts with a very intense electronic track called " Voyage Amoureux",a track that will linger in you head for a while, as it's main chorus is very catchy. I have to say my personal favorite track is a transition track called "Petite Piano Electrique", because is quirky and unlike anything that has been done lately. The EP is put together with a super track, in which the band partners with my all time favorite Brooklynites, French Horn Rebellion, and is the track that made salivate the hardest. Overall this is one of my favorite EPs I've received this year...Superb!! - http://www.indiehere.com/

"Le Couleur 'Voyage Love' (EP stream)"

Le Couleur specialize in vintage disco-pop, and the Montreal-based act are preparing to get audiences moving once again when they release their Voyage Love EP on April 30 via Lisbon Lux. Ahead of that official release date, you can stream the whole thing now on Exclaim.ca.

These five songs set Laurence Giroux-Do's breathy francophone vocals against a dreamy disco backdrop made up of toe-tapping rhythms and classic-sounding synths. Much of the EP is tuneful and pop-friendly, although "Petit Piano Electrique" is a curiously bite-sized instrumental centrepiece made up of oddball carnival keyboards.

The bilingual EP cut "Vacances de 87" features French Horn Rebellion, and you can watch the steamy music video for that track right here. Stream the audio, along with the rest of Voyage Love, below.

Also, if you're in Montreal, Le Couleur will celebrate the release with a launch party tonight (April 25) at O Patro Vys. You can get all the details here. - http://exclaim.ca/

Bio

For the main part their songs are in French and they bring to mind the kaleidoscopic soundscapes of Sébastien Tellier and the energy of Yelle. Laurence Giroux-Do, the quebecois-vietnamese singer, takes on love in its most naively simple and frustratingly complicated moments.

In 2010 they released their debut album, Origami which attracted the attention of local critics and press before getting international attention in 2011. Origami found its way into the hearts and blogs of Germany, Italy, Mexico, France, and the UK. Origami propelled them to the top of Quebec’s independent radio charts.

Following the meeting with the french producer French Fox, Le Couleur decided to hire him to produce their next EP. They also called upon the members of French Horn Rebellion to participate in its creation which resulted in a sound that follows in Origami’s footsteps while still breaking new ground.

Featuring their original french diso-pop sound, Voyage Love, released in 2013, brought new levels of international recognition to Le Couleur. The Ep was warmly received and reviewed by blogs and magazines in over 15 countries and the group was invited to play a number of well renowned festivals including, Pop Montreal, les Francofolies, M for Montreal, MEG festival etc…  Voyage Love was also nominated for the GAMIQ (CA) prize in the category of “Best Ep of the year” and was found amongst a number of top 10 lists for 2013.  Now, the group is keeping the momentum going through 2014 with a tour in Europe in May 2014!
