Starting in 2009, Yung Kwam of Houston TX, Villa of San Marcos TX, and J.leon of San Antonio TX came together in one city (San Antonio, TX) to form what is now known as the League of Thoroughbreds. Inspired by artist such as Nas, Eminem, Jay z, SPM, Kanye West, and Notorious B.I.G., the group Started to grow and began to realize the versatility of one another. All being able to adapt to multiple styles of writing and genres of hip hop led them to believe that from here on out the possibilities are endless! With Yung Kwams witty punchlines, Villas aggressive rhythm, and J.Leons smooth yet abrasive dialogue, it opened up numerous directions within their music and the trio knew that San Antonio was there's to take by storm. Starting with shows at Venues in San Antonio such as, Club Rain, Electric, Karovas, the trio then began to show that a new face for hip hop has formed, and it comes in three! After opening For Chingo Bling at Reptile'z Bar In December 17, 2010 their voices were starting to be heard! In March 2011 the League realesed their Debut Mixtape "To Whom it May Concern". It took San Antonio back to "original" music.
