Bio
Spinning through melodies and cadences, like a sundress on a summer’s day, Leah’s songs take flight through effective similes and metaphors. She takes somewhat simple concepts and molds them to resemble a well-framed picture of the world around her. Through child-like wonder-filled eyes springs a sense of innocence encapsulated in major chords and bouncy rhythms. Yet, in the same breath, she delivers punch and wit from a spunky woman in her 20s. She rather enjoys hitting nails on their head with lines that make declaratory statements. If her music could be embodied, it would have the fingers of Carol King, the songwriting spirit of Joni Mitchell and vintage 40’s vocal stylings in the likes of Zooey Deschanel of She and Him and Inara George of The Bird and the Bee.
She has been in the studio with local producer, Jason Clark, working on her first EP- due out in early spring.
Her local gigs include coffeeshops such as Genuine Joe’s Coffeehouse, Thunderbird Coffee and Clementine’s. She is currently booking a show at a new coffeehouse in College Station called Muldoon’s Coffee.
