Bio

This once unknown singer/songwriter, caused a commotion with her hit singles, "Naked on the Inside" and "So in Love", much like the pop-sensations before her, however what sets her apart is her Asian culture. Emerging as one of the first Asian American artists is a category all on its' own, starting a trend that America is now catching on.

Growing up in a traditional culture, the idea of being a singer only came as a form of a dream. But soon, Leah's innate abilities began to shine through. Leah started performing for family functions and shortly thereafter, participated in musical productions, choirs, dance troupes, cultural/piano recitals, and school bands. One of her greater accomplishments was landing the opportunity to perform John Rutter's "Magnificat" at Carnegie Hall. Having worked with one of music's phenomena's, she knew she was bound to experience greater things. She would prove to be right, when in 2002, Leah was selected to become PINK, on MTV's BECOMING, catapulting her to worldwide exposure. There was no turning back and it was only a matter of time before she would be living out her dream as a singer. In the spring of 2005, Leah created a demo earning her the opportunity to receive the "rising star" award by the Las Vegas Music Awards (LVMA) and later received a nomination as "best female" by the Southern California Music Awards (SCMA) in 2006.

By February 2007, Leah achieved her first milestone and released her self-titled, debut EP. She quickly went from performing for family celebrations to rockin' the stage at major venues, including the Viper Room, Whisky A Go Go, and The Knitting Factory. Due to the success of her debut EP, Leah has since then been invited to perform for festivals and industry showcases, received "best female" and "best rock" nominations by the Los Angeles Music Awards (LAMA) and Hollywood Music Awards (HMA) and garnered attention from media outlets such as Music Connection Magazine and 13 Minutes Magazine.

With performing numerous shows and sharing her music with the world, Leah could not feel more blessed. "I'm doing what I want in life and that brings me peace" says Leah, whose sophomore album, "I'm Not Goin' Nowhere", was released in December 2008. "It definitely has a more rock vibe than my first record", Leah admits, "and it's so exciting because this time round I wrote all the songs". Currently, her music is licensed to several reality shows including, MTV's The City, E!TV's Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Oxygen's Bad Girls Club, and VH1's Tough Love.

Leah's music is available on iTunes and amazonmp3.com for download.
