Leah Turner

Within the last few years, Leah Turner has seen a multitude of noteworthy achievements. Among them was a number one single on iTunes, entitled “Shut Up”, from the National Lampoons’ CATTLE CALL soundtrack, in addition to providing background vocals alongside the critically acclaimed Ben Harper, and sharing the stage with Grammy winning acts such as The Killers, Adam Lambert, Shakira, and The Black Eyed Peas.

Channeling the vocal power of musicians such as Whitney Houston and Shania Twain, Turner boasts the same unwavering command over her own voice. She has devoted the last several years to developing a sound that reflects a true representation of the woman she has become. After successfully navigating her way through the notorious music industry, she has emerged a soulful artist, eager to work at what she loves. Other musicians have taken notice of her talent as well, as is evident by the duets she has sung with Elliot Yamin and Terrance Howard.

The time Leah spent receiving her classical training at The Music Academy of the West, in Santa Barbara, has proven to be very useful when writing lyrics, either solo or teamed up with award-winning producers and songwriters such as Humberto Gatica (Celine Dion, Chaka Khan), David Foster (Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson), Andy Marvel (Diana King, Jessica Simpson), and Justin Trugman (Eminem, Jo Jo, Nelly). While her music encompasses the storytelling aspects of country, the sound also reflects today's acceptance of rock in the country genre, thanks to artist like Kid Rock. Turner's flavorful heritage, which stems from being the daughter of a true California cowboy and Latin mother, permeates every aspect of her craft helps to set her apart. She proudly describes herself as “half cowboy and half Mexican, with Tabasco running through my veins”, though you would never suspect it by looking at the blond-haired, blue-eyed vixen.

Holding onto her own words "Take a chance, create your own circumstance and stand solid", the Palm Springs native is now working with on her debut album. The diligent singer/songwriter has fine-tuned her musical gift and begun making waves. Leah Turner’s experience with heavyweights like Holly Knight (Pat Benatar, Kiss, Heart), Peter Amato (LeAnn Rimes, Michael Bolton, Miley Cyrus), Ramon “REO” Owen (Beyonce, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole), Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe), and Peter Zizzo (Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Jennifer Lopez), in conjunction with her amplified talent, has molded her into an unforgettable artist with a lengthy career in her sights.
