Bio
A musician born in Rio de Janeiro, had my first contact with music when I was 14 years old, when my parents gave me my first acoustic guitar on my birthday. After some years of practicing and playing with one of my cousins, I bought my first electric guitar at age of 16 – a Fender Stratocaster, which I have until nowadays – and gathered some friends and cousins to form my first rock and roll band.
Time passed by and I started to write songs, always focusing on political or romantic subjects. With my bands, I gigged in many different places along Rio de Janeiro, always having a very good receptivity. At age of 18, I started to teach guitar to pay the college and buy my equipment.
Self-taught musician, at age of 20 I was invited by Michael Sullivan, a legendary brazilian musician, to be the lead guitar on his band, one of the most important facts in my career. During this time, I was able to improve my abilities as a song writer, musician and arranger.
During the last three years I've been playing with Ázzus, a pop/rock band from Rio de Janeiro, with whom I've recorded some songs and a demo CD. This CD was executed until exhaustion in several radios at Vale do Paraiba region, reaching the first place in many of these radios. I have my own home studio and produce/record my and other artists’ albums at it.
I'm a musician, composer, multi-instrumentist, producer and arranger, and use my experience and sensibility to flirt with different musical styles.
Nowadays I live in São Paulo and teach music and home studio techniques. Besides that, I produce and record some small local artists.
