Lean Hounds will release their debut 7", entitled "Jaylee" through Pau Wau Records on March 30th.
Lean Hounds songs"Jaylee", "Jurassic Lark", "There's A Light In Your Hand", and "Try Fecta" have all been played on KVRX, KOOP Radio, and KUT in Austin, TX. "Jaylee" and "There's a Light In Your Hand" were included in Pau Wau Records Lost Tribes sxsw compilations in 2011 and 2012.

Lean Hounds were formed on January 1, 2010 and began playing shows just 3 months later at SXSW. Having spent time in former bands together, David Shakelford, Nick Whitfield, Josh Mills, and Ian Hunt did not waste time writing and releasing music. Their sound is full of lush soundscapes, built on top of complex rhythms. With pop friendly vocals and a unique electronic sound, Lean Hounds' songs are sure to get stuck in your head.
Lean Hounds spend an inordinate amount of time in the studio, constantly tweeking existing tracks and writing new ones. Their access to recording equipment has helped them refine their sound, and helps to keep their live set polished. If you have the chance to see this band live, do it. You'll regret it if you pass it up.
