Bio

LEAR linked up together in January 2000 in Blackwood, South Wales. They spent the remainder of that year jamming, rehearsing and developing a set that soon had people talking.

Lear's true environment is playing live and once the boys started gigging and word got around, their fan-base just grew. So much so that Lear managed to get the highest ever attendance at the Barfly, London on one steaming summer's night in 2001!

Other honours include winning the Welsh final of the National Music Show's 'Undiscovered Originals' at Wembley (followed by a storming gig at The Verge in Camden) and being voted Best Live Act at The Path, itself voted best live venue in Scotland.

Lear have headlined one of the BBC Radio One 'Soundcity' gigs and have subsequently been featured on BBC Radio One Wales as well as commercial radio. They have also appeared on BBC One Wales and MTV.

Some of the best gigs Lear have enjoyed have been supporting fellow musicians including Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Dodgy and Bernard Butler. And tours of Scotland, Liverpool and Manchester have earned the boys recognition countrywide.

Lear are currently recording a new EP with Manchester's RF Records. Keep an eye on their website www.learworld.co.uk for details.
