Bio
Kyle Hawkins a.k.a. Learikal was born in Detroit, a city well known for producing some of the finest musical talent. He began rapping at the age of 3 and realized he could actually make something of it at 17 when he and his friends formed a rap group called M.I.L(Money Iz Lyfe). They wrote and produced songs with handheld mics and whatever equipment they could afford. His friends saw his talent and encouraged him to keep going.
Influenced by rap legends: Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Lil Wayne and T.I., Learikal decided he wanted to share his story through music. He did just that forming another group with his brother Juno Strauss called I.R.K.(Ill Real Kings). The duo released a mixtape called Point of Viewz. Learikal released his second solo mixtape entitled King’s Corridor. This project marked an increased commitment to focus on music as more than just a hobby. It was this mixtape that led to him meeting his former producer Jared “JB” Brown, after being introduced by a long-time friend. The two became instant partners in the studio, recording as much as they could and building a chemistry. The result of that work became the Let ‘Em Know EP. Recently Learikal has released King's Corridor 3 exclusively on datpiff.com and is working on other projects.
