"Least of These" is a truly anoited band of brothers hailing from Knoxville, TN. They are a group that lives for nothing but Christ and the chance to tell everyone about Him and what He has done in their lives. Their new CD released on Soul Joy Records and produced by Travis Wyrick and Mike Dearing is entitled "Purple Cross" and is an inspiring story in itself. The entire cd is based on true events in this group's lives. Some of the story is about a young boy's fight with cancer, his faith in Christ and the Healing Hands that Christ placed on this young boy. Also, there are stories about the group's walk back to and with Christ. "Purple Cross" is an inspiring CD that everyone should hear.
Many times I have run up on artists and talked with them and I believe these fellas are the total package. Their hearts are pure and they walk with Christ each and every day. Every time I sit and talk with them I can feel the spirit move. They have a glow about them that can only be heaven sent. Least of These are the new down-home rockers stepping up within the contemporary music scene. Upon forming in Fall 2005, they immediately embarked upon a schedule of over 50 appointments per year. Produced by Dove Award winning producer Travis Wyrick and Mike Dearing, the band released their cd titled "Purple Cross" in 2007 on Soul Joy Records.
The cd has received airplay on FM, as well as numerous internet stations. Least of These has obtained a top 100 position on MySpace for the state of Tennessee in the Indie Christian genre. On the ChristianRocker website, "Purple Cross" has yielded four #1 positions, in addition to 9 out of 10 tracks placing in the top 10.
Least of These has helped raise money for such charities as The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Boys and Girls Club of America, REACHES Children Center, as well as minister at churches, coffee houses, youth rallies, Christian clubs, bike rallies and many concerts to benefit people in need.
Quoted as yielding "a unique brand of passionate southern rock," Least of These is diverse enough to appeal to listeners seeking musical flavors of southern or classic rock, country, praise and worship, blues, gospel and even harder edged rock.
