Lyrics

Uplifted

Written By: Daniel S. Byrd

It’s funny how You were there all along,
With dark and cloudy eyes I could not see,
Then one day You showed Your love to me.
On that day You took away the pain,
Sorrow turned to joy I had never seen,
On that day You showed Your love to me.

Lord I pray this feeling never goes away
I hope You’ll use me for Your will everyday
And God I’m glad that I can finally say
That I’m free!

Thank You Lord for saving me!
I’m so excited!
I can’t wait to walk with You for eternity!

Lord I pray this feeling never goes away
I hope You’ll use me for Your will everyday
And God I’m glad that I can finally say
That I’m free!

I’ve been uplifted
Now I know what it’s like to believe
Thank You Jesus!
Thank You Jesus!
Thank You Jesus!
Glory to the King of Kings!

Lord I pray this feeling never goes away
I hope You’ll use me for Your will everyday
And God I’m glad I can finally say
That I’m free!

I’ve been uplifted
Now I know what it’s like to believe
Thank You Jesus!
Thank You Jesus!
Thank You Jesus!
Glory to the King of Kings!

Miracle

Written By: 2007 Least of These/Soul Joy Records

As my tears drip down on his pillow
The doctor turns and walks away
They don’t know if he’ll pull through now
All that I can do is pray

Down on my knees Lord I’m begging
Father please hear what I pray

I need a miracle
Father please help me, I need a miracle
Down here today
Oh I need a miracle
Father please help me, I need a miracle
Down here today

I wipe the sweat from his face now
His pain growing stronger
They say they’re doing all they can now
But I can’t hold out here much longer

If I could touch the hem of Your garment
I keep reaching through the crowd

I need a miracle
Father please help me, I need a miracle
Down here today
Oh I need a miracle
Father please help me, I need a miracle
Down here today

You touched the lame and they walked again.
The dead man rose up from his grave.

It’s been a year since that day now
I feel the sunshine as I pray
You're still here in my heart Lord
I need You more and more each day

I look up and see the answer
To the prayer I prayed that day

Oh I see my miracle
Thank You so much Lord for my miracle
He’s alive today
Yes I got my miracle
Thank You so much Lord for my miracle
He’s here today
Oh he’s alive today
And I thank You Lord

Purple Cross

Written By: 2007 Least of These/Soul Joy Records

Six years old today, I watch him as he runs,
Other children all around.
To look at him and know the pain he’s going through,
As he tumbles to the ground.
All the doctors and the nurses that he knows,
Still he wears that big ole’ smile.
But what I learned from him, there isn’t any cost,
Cause money just can’t buy a purple cross.

He asked me one day to come and see his picture,
That he drew upon the wall.
And as he held my hand, I just stood there silent
As my tears began to fall.

A motorbike or a car I thought I’d see,
What more could cross his mind?
But there upon the wall in front of me,
That little hand drew...

A purple cross
A purple cross

Surely if this six year old,
Keeps Jesus on his mind,
Help me Father to hear Your Voice
And give You more of my time.

Out of the mouths of babes I’ve always heard them say,
Today I know just what that means.
Caught up in the rush of the day,
We forget what love can bring.

So if you need to, send a prayer up to Heaven,
Cause you know that you are lost.
Jesus Christ paid the price to be forgiven.
He’s the One who died on the purple cross.

Jesus gave His life on the purple cross.
The purple cross
The purple cross
