Leaving Beechwood has been a few years in the making but has finally come together into a group of four guys who live for playing music. Formed in April 2008, and playing their first acoustic show after only 6 days as a band, Leaving Beechwood have worked hard, dedicated hours writing melodic rock songs that have garnered a loyal Ottawa fan-base in the short time they have been together.
The band was originally brought together to provide backing to Shaun Little for the acoustic tracks he had written and recorded in previous years. However, things went so well that there was an indication that they could become something more. So adopting the name Leaving Beechwood, the band started writing new material (as well as still rocking out those original Shaun Little tunes!), and playing as many live shows as they could throughout 2008 and 2009.
Having emerged from the studio in early 2009, where they recorded a small 'off the floor' album/EP entitled 'A Little More', Leaving Beechwood has recently come out of the studio once again with four re-releases of some of their (and your!) favourite tracks! In addition to winning first place in a local Battle of the Bands, Leaving Beechwood continue to work tirelessly towards their success. With approaching plans of relocating to Toronto, Leaving Beechwood are continuing to strive for the goal of bringing their music to the world.
