Leaving Lifted is a 3 piece Reggae/Dub/Ska/Funk band from the Macomb area of Michigan, conceived in April of 2011. Leaving Lifted has had success from the very beginning, having their debut show at at the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, Michigan. From there, they were invited to Atlantic City, New Jersey for the Oktoberfest event set up by Elephant Talk Indie Music Magazine. There they performed two nights at prime times, and were asked to interview on WLFR Stockton Radio.

Their success continued throughout the year playing respectable venues in Michigan like The Emerald Theater, The Blind Pig, Hamstock Summer Music Festival in Mt. Pleasant, the prestigious Stars and Stripes Festival in Mt. Clemens, and a live performance/interview on Tapdetroit radio station. After a summer of relentless gigging, and covering Michigan coast to coast, Leaving Lifted was invited to enter Rustbelt Studios (Where acts such as Kid Rock, Eminem, D12, Slash and other respectable artists have recorded) to record their first ever EP "Cuddles and Puddles". Since the "Cuddles and Puddles" release Leaving Lifted has been invited to premiere venues all over Detroit, and has played with countless national acts. In August of 2013 they were invited down to the Irie Vibes Music Festival in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee where they played two nights. Leaving Lifted is now back at Rustbelt Studios recording their second EP. Look for some singles to be released soon!

They have performed with national acts such as The Green, Stick Figure, Skinny Lister, The Veer Union and many more. Leaving Lifted is a band that is constantly evolving. Stay tuned to see them exponentially grow this year and years to come.
