LEBELLE BIOGRAPHY

Since forming in 2005, this alt-rock four piece from the Gold Coast has gone from strength to strength. First becoming acquainted through their studies at The Griffith University's Conservatorium of Music, it was not long before these four friends formed a band, united by their mutual respect for one another’s musical ability.

Each member of LeBelle brings with them an exceptional amount of talent and transcendent wisdom far beyond their years. As a collective, their musical chemistry is undeniable and their sound is instantly familiar and irresistible. It was no surprise that LeBelle’s passion and vision developed to form a devoted underground following.

After playing in front huge crowds on the Main Stage at the 2007 Schoolie's Week, LeBelle put their heads down to writing, only coming up for breath to play a few shows, including recently supporting The Red Paintings. They have also received Triple J play on the Roots ‘n’ All program, with the track, “Spilt Milk”.

Their self-titled debut EP, due to be released in Aug/Sept 2008, will be powerful and majestic, with hard hitting hooks, beautiful piano melodies and stunning vocal harmonies. LeBelle’s approach to songwriting is multidimensional and unpredictable, somehow managing to seamlessly combine the lofty ethereal with a driving and somewhat urgent underlying strength.

With excitement that has been bubbling away, LeBelle has big plans for greater part of the year. Excited to be on stage once again, there is no doubt LeBelle will be winning over a growing number of fans locally and nationally, as well as receiving national radio play of their much awaited and highly coveted EP. LeBelle is wired and all set to finish 2008 with a bang.
