"Paste Magazine Premiere"

Le Boom is the brainchild of Dublin-based Christy Leech, who is beginning to break into America in a big way. This week we see Le Boom launching the single and video for the infectious and noteworthy, "What We Do."

Leech, who was found performing and DJing at secret Brooklyn warehouse parties, started recording with a cheap guitar, busted-up bass, and a laptop, to build a charming sound of Lo-Fi, Dance infused Disco, with an Indie twist.

"What We Do" is about acknowledging that something is bad for you but being unable to walk away because the thoughts of being without it are unbearable," says Leech of the new single.

Le Boom have played shows with US Girls and Vampire Weekend's Baio. Though it has been Le Boom's late night art-parties that have gained them their small but ever-growing cult-following...and with good reason.

Leech has taken the reigns on the entire project; from writing, playing, recording, artwork, and even editing the Le Boom music videos, proving that he is a modern day renaissance man. A labor of love, Le Boom brings to life the DIY ethic that drives the musical endeavor home. - Paste Magazine

"Irish Times Review"

Le Boom - What We Do
Dubliner Christy Leech spent last summer playing music and DJing in Brooklyn warehouses, a fine time that led to some home-recorded dance music with a broken bass, a gutted guitar and some melodic muscle. What We Do is a fine debut single release, informed by the synth-pop of Hot Chip and lo-fi dancefloor atmospherics. - The Irish Times, Niall Byrne

"Le Cool, Dublin on Le Boom"

Lively electro-pop brimming with all the cool you’d expect from something recorded in the basement of an antique store in Williamsburg and a disused warehouse. You’ve probably never heard of Le Boom, no one has – but that’s all about to change very, very soon. - Le Cool

"Impose Single Review"

All the way from Dublin, the phenomenal Christy Leech performs under the moniker Le Boom. He’s an electro-pop artist and DJ, and was discovered while performing at secret parties hosted by young artists in various unused warehouses in Brooklyn last summer. This talented dude–and self confessed control-freak–does everything himself – writing, playing, recording, making CD covers, editing videos, you name it. He’s just released a new track, and we’re so excited to share it with everyone.

The track is called “What We Do.” It starts off with bouncy electronics that vibrate and resonate deep within your bones. It seems so simplistic, but the different components of the song come together perfectly. The song is catchy while still being relaxed. The vocals are soft and in falsetto, and he makes it seem and feel effortless. Expanding on the track, he admits, “‘What We Do’ is about acknowledging that something is bad for you but being unable to walk away because the thoughts of being without it are unbearable.”

Dancer Breckyn Drescher captures the magic of New York City streets, performing across a myriad of backgrounds. The video is fun and interesting, allowing the viewer to see art in the every day.

This track is perfect for a night out, riding around down, or dancing the night away. - Impose Magazine

"State Magazine Live Review Electric Picnic Festival"

Le Boom come along and give us one of the performances of the day. No matter how wet and tired everyone is, the Oxjam tent still wants to party and this is the perfect soundtrack – quite possibly the best live electronic act to come out of Ireland since that other French sounding band. - State Magazine
