We are releasing our LP on the 7th of Jan. We have spent over 4 months on it. We recorded in Eudora, Kansas, at Black Lodge Studios, where it was also mixed. Then we had it Mastered in New York, at Turtle Tone Studios. Then all the CD's are printed in Canada, at CD Man.

While Illinois may not be the top state in the US to sprout top rock acts, it is the home to 3 young men who have decided to take it upon themselves to show the world that they are anything but "farm boys"! They are from the small Western city of Geneseo. Led By Last blends a tasteful combination of speedy pop punk, edgy rock, and catchy melody lines to create a unique sound that is sure to get any crowd moving! The band writes songs primarily about growing up, coping with bad relationships, and living in boring towns! Stationed in a primarily hardcore music scene, the guys have had to work hard to help regain and rebuild the pop punk scene. The band consists of Neil Kuhlman on guitar and vocals, Skot Stoner on Bass and vocals, and Troy Mariman on drums and vocals.
Led By Last originally formed in 2000, when Neil and Troy were writing songs in Neil's basement. When Skot, a long time friend, came along, they found that their personalities matched up and the trio and their sound were complete. Since the early days of Led By Last, they have managed to play countless shows, highlights including opening for Drive Thru Records recording artists Allister and Hidden in Plain View, Fueled by Ramen Records' Fall Out Boy, and Lobster Records recording artist, PARK.
Led By Last has many influences, including, but not limited to, Blink 182, Green Day, MxPx, Allister, Homegrown, and Alkaline Trio. While being influenced by so many great bands, they also find it necessary to stay as original as possible to avoid "blending in to the crowd." Being unique is very important to the band. Since they are a three piece, Led By Last finds it important to incorporate two and sometimes three part harmonies to give the music a full sound that really sets it apart from other bands.
To gain the full experience of Led By Last, you must see their live show. The band doesn't compromise anything when it comes to giving it their all in front of their crowds. The fans and crowds have always been number one priority because they help fuel the bands energy on stage. Because of that raw energy exerted on stage, you can be sure that Led By Last will not be a name soon forgotten! Led By Last will continue touring and promoting themselves as they continue to grow as a band.
