Melding modern commercial country with the traditions of old, Lee Allen has been regarded as one of the most refreshing new artists in the last 5 years.   With a kind heart and songs that come from his life in the hills of Glassy Mountain, South Carolina, this pure-bred country boy is poised to make his name known in the world of country music for years to come.

Lee Allen grew up in Greenville, South Carolina living off both the land and a healthy diet of George Jones. His father, also a musician, started Lee out playing drums and guitar, leading to lifetime of honoring his family and heritage through his performing and storytelling.  A troubadour at heart, Lee Allen has been on stage in since the age of twelve, winning talent showcases on TV and cultivating the intensely loyal fan base that continues to listen today.  He has shared the stage with country legends Ronnie McDowell, Narvel Felts, Leon Everette, Ronnie Dove and Billy Joe Royal.

In an act seldom seen among today’s factory-like genres, Lee wrote nine original songs for the record, taken from his southern upbringing and the journey he has taken thus far. With the help of legendary session players like Hoot Hester (Hank Williams, Randy Travis), Dow Tomlin (Larry Franklin, Tammy Cochran) and John Heinrich (Toby Keith, Reba McEntire), Lee reinvents the timeless music that defined “country” and the love and lifestyle that go along with it.

For his new radio single, “Settle Down”, Lee entered the studio with veteran producer/engineer Ian D’Souza and a myriad of A-list session players.  “Settle Down” has been lighting fires all over the country radio airwaves, leading to Lee’s first national radio tour, which started at WIVK (Knoxville, TN) with a surprise performance opening for Colt Ford that night at Cotton Eyed Joe!  With over 5,400 Myspace® friends and over 1 million views in less than 3 months, “Settle Down” is poised to be a refreshing hit at radio for the spring and summer of 2010.
