New York‘s stoneresque heavy blues trio LEEDS POINT returns this year on October 1st with a new EP ‘Mother of Eternity‘.

Starting out in 2012, LEEDS POINT has been independently releasing recordings steadily through Bandcamp, starting off in 2014 with their debut ‘The Hooded Ones‘ full-length. The second album in 2015, ‘Green Witch‘, was where my ears discovered this band and that record hit me like a surprising ton of bluesy prog bricks.

Then a digital single ‘Electromagician‘ came a few months before their third album ‘Fahnestock Rock‘ in 2016, and a couple more digital singles in 2017, ‘Time‘ and ‘Hex Obscuricum‘. Their fourth full-length ‘Equinox Blues‘ appeared in Fall 2019 [news], with their most recent release of the single “Noon Of Days” in June 2020. Most recently until today, that is…

Today we are presenting a premiere stream of the first single “High Strangeness” and LEEDS POINT entices us with a comment about the upcoming ‘Mother of Eternity‘ EP:

This band is bent on doing things the old way. Drawing inspiration from many different eras of music, LEEDS POINT has used this as a foundation to create its own unique, timeless sound. With only three members, the band still manages to pack a punch utilizing a deep, heavy groove, and powerful riffage.

Their brand new single “High Strangeness” is streaming today by way of a video created by Martin at MVS Visual. The song is not only the first single but also the first track on the ‘Mother of Eternity‘ EP, which is due for release on October 1st via Bandcamp.
