Hello.

So, what does the Coorparoo Bowls Club, a RIDICULOUS guitar fetish, Kasey Chambers, Chinchilla, Bob Evans, Marcia Hines, Tasmania, Joe Cocker, British India, a pet Bulldog, a pet Beagle, a cat called Marley and two white toy dogs, through-the-line advertising, Dave and Gladys May of Auckland New Zealand, Ryan Adams, Chris Ramsay’s Jam Nights, Shihad, Okonomiyaki, MotorAce, Coopers Pale Ale, Pretty Violet Stain, Nashville, Weta, open guitar tunings, “Uncle” Bruce Springsteen, Adobe Creative Suite, King Ahiram’s $3.50 Falafels, a badly burned thigh with scar to match, weird personal hygiene requirements and Jagger/Richards/Rogers/Tyler/Perry/Finn all have in common with each other?

Well, us. Lee Griffin & The Triple B, from Brisbane Australia. Including - but not limited to - Lee Griffin (vocals/guitars), Gina Horswood (vocals/percussion), Dom Spooner (bass), Jason Millhouse (guitar) and Greg Conder (drums). Occasionally, John Kaldor of Sydney will join us on pedal steel guitar.

Each member of The Triple B has played in various other bands for years with varying levels of success - however despite Greg and Lee playing together for eight years, the Triple B really only formed in late 2009. Since then, we’ve played selected shows at Brisbane venues such as The Zoo, Rics and The Tempo Hotel - and developing a loyal group of staunch supporters along the way - but the real focus has been preparing for the studio to record our brand-spankin’ debut 12-track album “Plums”.

Plums was co-produced by Lee and Jason, a highly-sought after engineer/producer and also director/DOP in the music video world in his own right - and has come out sounding something like a mix of You Am I, Tom Petty and Ryan Adams. We reckon it’s pretty clear throughout the album that we love Americana rock/country, but it’s still distinctly Australian, and we’ve done our best to mash it up & make it our own.
