HING

Lee Hing Zhe or just Hing is a 21 year old singer-songwriter from Kuala Lumpur the capital city of Malaysia. His life changed when he decided to make the change from business and finance to pursue a music career here in LA.

As a kid, he had a troublesome childhood battling depression, and always felt like the odd one out, never really got to fit in society and as cliché as it may sound music was his escape from reality. Amongst one of his biggest influence would definitely be 80's Thrash Metal band, Metallica. Their music made him pick up the guitar, because he wanted to learn every single song from the black album. Besides Metallica there were bands like Gn'R, AC/DC, Avenged Sevenfold and the list goes on.

At age 19, Hing wrote his first original (Our Last Words) when a close friend passed away due to a car accident as a tribute to his fallen friend, and his song was able to convey the story of friendship to the audience and was able to move a few people along the way and that’s when he decided that he wanted to pursue a career out of song writing because he was fascinated how mere words stuck onto a melody was able to convey such strong emotions and tell a story that was capable of moving a hall filled with people and that was the turning point for me that was when Hing decided he wanted to make the most out of being a musician.

Hing’s goal as a musician is to be able to move people with music like how his idols did for him, be able to make a changes in their lives or be able to accompany the people in their time of need.
