The best kept secret in music
Press
We admire the patience and determination of this band, which has stuck it out for about 10 years, surviving changes in lineup and popular music. The group has managed to keep up with the times without selling its soul to the latst craze, and it has gradually improved as the group plays consistently great shows across the state. The poppy rock, led by the warm voice & appealing falsetto of Brandon Metz, has become a local favorite. - Colorado Gazette Go Choice Award
Leer43, the band Metz formed in junior high, is schedule to headline 32 Bleu's Local Live Showcase... Though they have opened for several acts at the club including Superdrag & the Gin Blossoms...They deserve it. When Leer last rocked the bistro the house was packed. Many of the teen-agers in the pit were screaming like little girls... with good reason. Metz is a handsome young buck who picks his ax like a man possessed & launches into flawless flsetto whenever he feels the need. - The Independent
Though most indie rock these days veer toward a spare, desperate sound, Leer43 creates lush, melodic rock. Last year's ambitious "Vol 4" found these guys in a more self-indulgent, angst-ridden mood. "This is How I Believe" reveals a lot of growth, with a collection of hard-driving rockers and mellow ballads that recall the more upbeat rock of the '90s (Counting Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket.) Leer43 is smart enough to avoid chasing after the hot sounds -emo screaming, garage guitar - as theu try to forge their own. Brandon Metz leads the sound with emotive, vulnerable vocals, and daring leaps into his falsetto range. - Bill Reed - Gazette Telegraph

Bio
Formed by Brandon Metz nearly a decade ago, the band has made considerable transformations in lineups. Through the years and personnel change ups, the goal has stayed the same; to make quality music that does not simply blend into the deluded culture at large. Leer43 has celebrated many accolades and shared the stage with national acts like the Gin Blossoms, Steriogram, Super Drag, Lola Ray, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Moke, Chicago, and Leanne Womack, however, the mission and the commitment to what is truly behind this music stays the same.
