Still working on that hot first release.

Left-Handed Jacket is a three-piece band hailing from the palm-studded streets of Miami, Florida. Composed of lead vocalist and bassist Raul Crespo, guitarist Gilbert Rodiguez, and drummer Jon Bedoya, Left-Handed Jacket provides a breed of heart-felt, intense, groove-driven indie rock that you can't help but dance to.

Jon and Raul first started playing together in the fall of 2005 when they were freshmen in high school, and they played in different projects until Raul moved away to college in 2010. After returning to Miami in 2012, Raul was hungry to play music with his best friend again, and Jon had been part of a group of musicians who rented a warehouse and converted it to a music studio-- The Studio...

For nearly a year straight, Raul and Jon, along with a collective of other artists, would meet at The Studio to indulge in music, beer, and debauchery. Around this time, Raul reconnected with his old friend and producer/guitarist, Gilbert, who was introduced to him by a mutual friend that believed the two were destined to make music together. Raul invited Gilbert to jam one night with Jon at The Studio, and thus the band was united for the first time. The trio first played shows as Melt the Tropics, but later changed their name to Left-Handed Jacket.

Now the boys in LHJ are as tight-knit as they come, and they are conjuring infectious tunes that will hit harder that a shot of whiskey and go down sweeter than your mom's famous chocolate chip pancakes-- and they would know how your mom's pancakes taste. With their debut Last Call EP set to release at the end of October, Left-Handed Jacket is ready to make waves in the independent music scene.
