New York, NY (June 5, 2012) - - Band of brothers and five member boy band Legend of the Fall return to the music forefront with their new single “That 60’s Song” from their yet to be titled fourth project under the managerial guidance of Verve NY Agency. Poised to extend their reach after their acclaimed 2010 Island Def Jam affiliated release of their album Sell Outs, Legend of the Fall’s aim is simple, to expound upon their regional success they garnered in touring, merchandising and record sales.
Referring to their style of music as “Popcore,” a fusion of pop and rock music, Legend of the Fall’s inspirational, thought provoking lyrics and their rhythmically hybrid sound serves as their musical calling card. “I want our music to mean something and that our songs mattered,” says band member and lead vocalist JD on speaking of the group’s hope toward their legacy. With that hope, Legend of the Fall aims to capture and deliver their take on life experiences, both good and bad, through the authentic truth that is created in every note of their music.

Bio
Boy bands are to pop music as apple pie is to Americana, you can’t have one without the other. Ridgefield Park, New Jersey natives and brothers, Legend of the Fall fuse their inspirational, thought provoking lyrics and their rhythmically hybrid sound they’ve dubbed as “Popcore” to the musical forefront. Comprised of five brothers, JD, Levi, Skyler, Madison and Casey Jones Alam, Legend of the Fall came into inception in Spring 2007 and within a year’s time they released their debut indie recording Sketches (Part One) and toured the Northeast heavily opening up for noted bands ranging from George Thorogood, Vanilla Fudge to Cash Cash. “The adrenaline and roar of the crowd was the most amazing feeling that we’d ever felt. We immediately knew that we had found our calling,” says JD.
As BMI published songwriters, Legend of the Fall trace their musical inspiration to their father who played in in a three member 80’s classic rock band along with their appreciation for the sounds of noted rock bands from Led Zeppelin to Panic at the Disco. By 2009 the group released their sophomore indie effort, Sketches (Part Two), picking up where their debut project left off. By 2010, the group had established a loyal fan following and enough momentum which set the stage for their first major label release that year with their project, Sell Outs which featured the single “Scene Girl” an up-tempo electric guitar pop/alternative rock groove distributed by Island Def Jam.
Taking a short sabbatical after their breakout touring and merchandising success coupled with modest but noted airplay at radio, Legend of the Fall took time away to craft new music for their late Summer 2012 LP release, "How We Got There". Leading the charge for their fourth album, the group’s latest single and short form video, “That 60’s Song” serves as an ode to the sixties infused with a contemporary pop/punk tinged twist. “I want our music to mean something and that our songs mattered,” says JD on speaking of the group’s hope toward their legacy. With that hope, Legend of the Fall aims to capture and deliver their take on life experiences, good and bad, through the authentic truth that is created in every note of their music. Be inspired and stay tuned!
