For the record, we do not write songs about: heartbreak, family issues, politics, god, dreamland, rainbows, blah blah blah. Our lives are neither hopeless nor promising. Legs On Sale is about a journey. The name refers to discovering ones own mobility, finding the legs that support the body,
and moving forward no matter how treacherous the road may be.
Sonically, Legs On Sale walks the line somewhere between the genres of New Wave and protopunk, a refinement of our roots as former members of
experimental post-hardcore bands just one year prior. Just imagine Johnny cash getting sassy over Death From Above 1979’s fuzzy bass lines with
rowdy regulars yelling backups from the bar. Our debut, the “Heidi” ep, was tracked in rooms around our house using digital and analog formats to
achieve something modern yet reminiscent of groups like The Velvet Underground and The Doors heard over an old record player. Vinyl for life
baby!
It’s a bad day to be in a rock band. Labels are going out of business despite an over saturation of bands competing to get signed. With this in mind Legs On Sale’s career goal is simple: no more Joe jobs. Our
first step towards this goal is to build up our fan-base through exposure, promotion, and networking with people who have faith in our music and the ability
to get it heard by the public.
