Bio

I was classically trained in voice and piano, but started writing my own songs in my teens. I attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute for voice, and received a BA in journalism and music. In 2004, things magically fell into place with the release of my first CD, "Just Over Those Mountains". The title track won the 2004 Silverton Jubilee songwriting competition, as an award in England. I recently opened for Michael Martin Murphey, and am currently touring the southwestern US with my trio. As for the other two members of my trio:

Mark Dudrow, a Taos favorite, has played and recorded with the San Juan Symphony Orchestras and singer-songwriters such as Jenny Byrd and Chipper Thompson. He has also been a featured artist in the "Fiddling While Rome Burns" Ice Music Festival, playing cellos carved from ice at 12,000 feet above sea level. His musical styles include classical, bluegrass, celtic and rock, and his influences range from Bach to Black Sabbath.

Aaron Lewis is best known as the leader and director of the Swing Daddies Band. Playing oboe, saxophones, flute and percussion, he is key to adding the rich range of textures heard on "Just Over Those Mountains". He has played at the Taos Solar Music Festival and the Madrid Blues Festival, and is a member of the Taos Woodwind Quintet and has performed with the Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra as well.
