Lelia Broussard

Hot off the heels of her critically acclaimed full length album, Masquerade, the soulful indie/pop songstress Lelia Broussard claimed her spot in the top two of Rolling Stone’s So You Want To Be A Rock And Roll Star contest. Hand-picked as one of the best unsigned artists in the nation by the editors of Rolling Stone and Atlantic Records, Lelia performed at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN on June 12th as well as LIVE on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on June 15th.

Currently living in New York, Lelia Broussard was originally born in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she was immersed in the rich and diverse music scene at a very young age. At the tender age of six, she was selected to perform Patsy Cline's "Crazy" in front of 15,000 people at the Cajun Dome. She hasn’t looked back since. She started writing her own songs, recording & independently releasing her own albums and began to amass an ever growing, devoted fan base. Over the course of her career, Broussard has collaborated with A-List producers including Rob Fusari (Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, and Destiny’s Child), Espionage (Beyonce, Train, and Chris Brown) and Dave Trumfio (Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Built To Spill). Still an up and coming artist, her songs have been featured on hit television shows such as MTV's “The Hills” , CBS' “Joan of Arcadia” and NBC’s “Men in Trees” as well as independent films. After a successful UK tour and a national U.S. tour, Lelia is poised for a breakout year in 2012.
