Bio
Len Xiang is an award winning singer/songwriter, acoustic guitarist and actor in New York City.
His music is inspired by the likes of Sam Cooke, Nina Simone and Michael Jackson. Their influence has created in him a sultry sound that distinguishes his engaging acoustic soul folk style.
This multi-talented artist was recently awarded New York’s Star of the Day on New York’s own televised talent showcase where he premiered his latest original work, “Waiting on the Sun”.
Len has independently released two LPs, Metropolitan Avenue and A New Day which features his unique musical arrangement of original material and hit covers.
He is often a featured artist at local venues such as the famed SOBs (Sounds of Brazil) where he worked the sold-out crowd of 400 at B.E.T’s R&B Trap Karaoke event. He has also performed and opened for Citizen Cope at Brooklyn's famed B.A.M. Opera House and opened for hip hop legends Mobb Deep at the Canal Room in the lower east side of Manhattan.
Not limited to live performances, Len starred in the short independent film, “The Bluest Note”, where his original song, “Turbulence” among others are featured on the soundtrack. He is also currently co-producing and featured in a documentary on the lifestyle of a busker.
On any given day, you might have the pleasure of seeing Len Xiang perform live during your daily MTA commute. Whether on the platform, at a night club, streaming in your headphones, or on the screen, Len Xiang is known to entertain and passionately connect with his audience.
