Lena Recoll

Since the release of her songs and poetry album, “I Am Woman, Kwe”, Lena Recollet was nominated for 3 Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards and currently being considered for Debut Artist of the Year and Best Spoken Word Album for the 2013 Native American Music Award categories! A multi-talented, driven and vibrant singer/songwriter and visual artist. Captivating with powerful lyrics, sultry spoken word and her poetry is bold in its lure. What makes her unique is her willingness to push herself beyond her limits on occasion rise to the occasional live improvisation. She has had mentorship by Buffy Sainte Marie before opening for her at Pheonix Concert Hall in Toronto in 2011. Lena is currently getting ready for her next album and recently released a Hip Hop Collaboration "What it's All About" with Jamaal Rogers of Missing LinX. Most recently she performed her first comedic set recorded live in front a studio audience, for the comedy series "She Kills Me", Aboriginal Peoples Television Network stay tuned this fall. We can now expect some comedy between sets when needed her range is broad.
