Lenay Marteney

I grew up singing. I was holding a mic in the children's choir at my church from a very early age. Nothing brings me joy the way that singing and music do. I love seeing the look on the faces of fans that hear one of their all-time favorites. I try to make every show feel personal. My goal is always to connect with the people. I love chatting with listeners after my shows to hear their requests or their stories. My dad was a huge influence on my love for music, particularly classic country. One of the first tapes I ever memorized front to back, every song, was Patsy Cline's greatest hits. My love for music spans many genres and many time periods. For me it's about touching people, it's about the experience they have when they come to a show. It's the memories that go along with a song I sing, or a new found favorite when they hear a tune for the first time...that's what I love. When I go to churches and share my testimony and music, to be a vessel for God, to allow him to work through me is a humbling experience...and if I say just ONE thing that saves a young girl from going through what I went through -- or helps someone through a struggle or a hard place, then that's the ultimate!
