Music is a powerful force which can tame the savage beast and even pierce a man's heart to stir emotions that words alone cannot reach. This force in the hands of a songwriter/musician can be used to entertain; to amuse or to share inner-most thoughts, hopefully to the empathy of their audience. This empathy is what fuels the songwriter/musician and Len G learned early on what that connection feels like. He has performed since the age of 16, playing mainly rock and R& B venues, but when the Lord Jesus came into his life , Len re-directed his musical focus to the worship of God.
He served on various worship teams shortly after his conversion and later became the worship leader of New Hope Community Church, West Covina where he served for a number of years. During his service there the band became involved in prison ministry where they played and led worship at the now defunct Fred Nellis Youth Dentention Facility, part of the Ca.Youth Authority.
In 2005 he and his wife moved to San Diego to pursue his ever increasing passion for music, full-time.
Since moving Len has served different local Christian ministries and currently leads worship at Set Free ( Emmanuel Faith Comm. Church, Escondido) and Celebrate Recovery ( No. County Church of Christ,Escondido ) two Christ-centered recovery programs for addictive behavior as well as a year stint at Community Reformed Church, Escondido as their contemporary service worship leader. He also performs regularly at several retirement/nursing homes in the area. As a singer/songwriter he has also shared his original music at local venues such as Hot Java, Saturday Backyard Concerts, It's A Grind Coffee, The Lollicup Cafe, Friendly Grounds Coffee, and Radiance Arts in Pacific Beach.
His music though mainly acoustic-based, is the synthesis of varying musical influences ranging from the Beatles, the Stones,to James Taylor and Chris Tomlin, Jeff Deyo, Casting Crowns and Mercy Me to name a few. His positive themes
give messages of hope and love, always pointing to the One who is Len's constant inspiration. It is Len's desire to write, perform and record the music that God has inspired, wherever and whenever He calls and for as long as he is able.
