About Lennie (Formerly known as Hannah P): I am an 19 year old singer/songwriter from the UK. I have been writing lyrics and melodies since I was 13 and recently ventured into writing music & producing. I was a runner-up in the 2005 UK Songwriting Contest in the 'Indie/Rock' category with the song 'Skru U' and have many more tracks just waiting to say "Hello"!!!
I've traveled extensively from a young age, which has naturally had an effect on my musical tastes. I spent a great deal of my early teens singing with seasoned cover bands, generally performing Top 40 material but sometimes performing my own. I have also had the opportunity of performing on the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship & at Sundance in Provo, Utah (Robert Redfords resort), the list goes on.
In Sept 05 I was runner-up in a Country Music talent contest in Los Angeles, where I was up against some seasoned competition.
In 2006 I regularly attended a variety of open mic nights in Vancouver BC. I relish any opportunity to perform live and show off my talents gaining valuable audience feedback.
More recently I have been performing at various venues in Southern Spain and currently I'm performing on the London circuit but I am willing to travel anywhere in the world for the right offer or opportunity.
As a result of travelling so much, I chose to learn an array of languages to enhance my international appeal. I can now speak fluent Spanish (iYo puedo hablar Espanol!), Portuguese, have a good command French and German and a basic knowledge of Italian and I'm always trying to learn new tongues. I'm preparing for GLOBAL success.
My goal is to continue to make credible music, have fun with it, and of course realize my dream of playing to packed audiences around the world, especially The Grand Ole Opry Nashville and of course being a Brit !WEMBLEY!
Finally my musical influences are; Avril Lavigne, Shakira, Billy Idol, Maroon 5, Big & Rich, Hanson, Good Charlotte, Keith Urban, Charlie Daniels Band, The Calling, Kenny Chesney, The Dixie Chicks, Sara Evans and Greenday - to name but a few! My taste in music is very diverse - from Opera to Rock, Jazz to Pop; with the exception of most house and techno - you name it, I probably like it.
