Bio

Soprano songstress and songwriter Lenni Stewart is regularly in demand as a solo performer for theatrical and concert productions, radio advertising jingles- several for "Big B Productions", and engagements with her group Manhattan Rouge Jazz Trio.
Born in Toronto and raised in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Lenni was chosen for the role of "Fantine" in Overture Productions' 2009 concert production of "Les Miserables" and hasn't looked back! ( see her video attached to EPK). She was the Opening Act with Quinte-area Tenor Julian Gallo for:

MICKEY & JAN ROONEY'S 2009 "LET'S PUT ON A SHOW"

MICKEY & JAN ROONEY'S 2010 "LET'S PUT ON A SHOW" CROSS CANADA TOUR

... accompanied by California-based musicians Sam Kriger (Arranger/Pianist), Steve Pemberton (Percussion), and Las Vegas-based Ken Seiffert (Bass).

Lenni Stewart more than just delivers the songs from the first half of the 20th century, but reaches in deep, portraying the passion, heart and grace of their message with her expressive and clear tone. Specializing in music of the 1920's, '30's and '40's, in such genres as Traditional Jazz, Broadway, Swing, Operetta and Blues, Lenni entertains audiences of all ages, in venues ranging from theatres to clubs and wineries. Her recent collaboration with Julian Gallo includes Theatre concerts "Hits of the Blitz- When The Lights Go On Again", "A Merry Little Christmas Concert" and "Broadway Gold".

In 2006 she collaborated with pianist Fran Rose and Steve Conley to create the "Manhattan Rouge Jazz Trio". The Trio has proven itself a real hit with audiences in multiple venues- most recently Ballroom Dancing events. Described as “Sassy, Classy and Sophisticated”, Manhattan Rouge's repertoire is reminiscent of those great songs heard in jive joints of the 40’s & 50’s, throwing in a touch of cabaret. It's an act complete with feather boas, bling and black tie.

Lenni began her career performing as a solo Folk-Pop & Blues singer, accompanying herself on guitar, then expanded her act by forming the Lenni Stewart Trio. In 2004 she launched her CD of original songs entitled "Root Cellar Boogie", which receives regular airplay on internet radio stations throughout the world. In her writing, Lenni's lyrics speak to the heart, and echo the ups and downs of life and love. Her music has been described as catchy, fun and moving- her influences a blend of day-to-day experiences and current issues.

"Congratulations Lenni, your song "MOUNTAIN RUN" has been chosen against hundreds of songs to be included on our playlist and will be promoted on our podcast to promote your song on iTunes and public radio stations throughout U.S.of A. "
