Lenny Morris and TNT

Lenny Morris is a respected musician, promoter, manager and producer in San Diego, CA. With pristine vocals and a refreshing acoustic guitar style, Lenny Morris has been generating a lot of buzz since his recent re-emergence in the San Diego music scene in mid 2010, and the formation of his band "Lenny Morris and TNT". On top of playing music as a full-time job solo or with his band for private events and celebrations, he also promotes and hosts various music and comedy showcases that feature some of San Diego’s most prominent musicians and stand-up comedians. Whether it’s a luxury hotel, an upscale wine bistro, an intimate coffee house or a prominent music venue, you will probably find him featured at least a couple times a week across the city. His band “Lenny Morris and TNT” was featured at San Diego Indie Fest 7, held at the NTC Promenade, which is traditionally San Diego’s biggest music festival. He has also played private events for the San Diego Padres, Neighborhood Watch, The San Diego Crew Classic, and more.
Lenny Morris began playing the guitar as a young teenager, but truly realized his love for music and inspiring others through watching the Michael Jackson short biopic “Captain Eo” at a young age.
“I remember watching this amazing, almost large-than-life artist on the big screen…He was basically ingesting ‘goodness’ into ‘evil’ through song and dance. It was truly a powerful experience for me. I was maybe 4 or 5.” says Lenny. He also credits and thanks his mother for having such great musical taste.
“It really all depends on what your parents expose to you musically. Thankfully, my mother listened to artists like Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Luther Vandross, and Toni Braxton, all wonderful singers. It definitely sparked something.”
Lenny released his home-recorded and produced acoustic EP “Lenny Morris Music” in November of 2010, and digitally on Itunes, Amazon MP3 and other digital distribution sites in January of 2011. He also avidly sells copies at his shows during the week. He is currently working hard writing songs for his highly anticipated sophomore album, due to be released in 2012.
