Driven. Passionate. Unwavering. These words describe a snapshot of an artist fully immersed in the world of music creation and performance. Leon J's rare display of energy and stage presence demands your attention and promises to keep it. His experience as a performing DJ began in 1999 and continues to gain momentum. Known as one of the Midwest’s premier EDM (Electronic Dance Music) DJs, Leon J is familiar with all forms of music. Drawing from a carefully selected palate of varying genres, Leon always brings something new to the dance floor. With an uncanny ability to read his audience, Leon J tastefully challenges your aural experience with sounds ranging from Techno, Minimal and Tech-house, to Dubstep, Breaks, and Progressive House. Leon J also reaches across genres when performing under his “Mister White” alias - listeners might hear classic rock, blues, funk, punk, hip-hop, soul, 80’s, 90’s, pop, or electronica. Leon J has been host to countless nightlife events at many leading nightclubs, and has been a featured artist for numerous special events and internet radio shows throughout the last decade. With a talent hard to ignore, he is the requested opening act for The Crystal Method at every Minnesota appearance since 2005, and for BT since 2007. Leon J has also shared the stage with other international talent such as Josh Wink, Adam Freeland, Marco V, Baby Anne, Phil K, Jen Lasher, SOTEG, Bear Who, Anthony Attalla, and many more.

In 2007, Leon J began producing electronic music, honing his skill with dedicated precision. As founder and former member of “The Unknown,” Leon J found success in the industry as a well-respected remix artist, and in only one short year, produced and released nearly 300 titles. In the same year, under the moniker “Recon 22,” he produced and released the original “Crosshairs EP” (Solar Cathedral Recordings), available on Beatport.com. Since leaving “The Unknown” in 2010, Leon J continues to release remixed works as “Mister White,” and produces original music under his own name.
