I have a musical identity crisis!! My first great love in music was Duran Duran and I follow them to this day. In my teenage years I got turned on to metal and loved early Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Metallica, etc I just love good songs and great lyrics.....I'm not saying that these metal guys (apart from Ozzy, because his lyricist is an Australian Legend called Bob Daisley) had top notch, mature lyrics (they weren't supposed to!!!) but I loved the energy and melody combined with the crunch. I even love Avril Lavigne. I had my Beatles phase. Overall, I am a multi-instrumentalist - Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano and I love good pop songs with great lyrics and structures. I have put a lot more time and effort into the songwriting craft in my adult life, listening closely to the mix and the build of the track.
