Bio

If you can, try to picture the well-worn sawdust floors of a not too trendy, and somewhat rowdy southern honky-tonk. The soft glow of neon, and heavy cigarette smoke fill the air. In the corner, the jukebox is cranking out solid gold country tunes, and somehow manages to cut through all the clatter of the Friday night clientele. Sounds like the common theme for many a good old country drinking song, doesn't it? Well this is where Leon Wesley Walls began paying his dues, and began earning his stripes as a musician, and a song writer. In the many dimly lit, and smoke filled road side honky-tonks and bars around northern Kentucky and southern Ohio. Leon was born in Cincinatti, Ohio. The third of four children. He grew up in the river city town of Covington, Kentucky (just accross the Ohio river from Cincinnatti). It seems that music has always exemplified Leon's life. He learned to play guitar at nine, and then began performing in his family's band, at the age of twelve. In the late seventies Leon headed out on his own forming, and fronting his own band, and toured nationally throughout the eighties and ninties, opening for acts such as, Exile, Shania Twain, The Remingtons and Steve Wariner to name a few. Leon discontinued touring in 2001, and now resides in Palm Springs, Ca and spends his free time writing and recording demos.
