Les Anges Gardiens

Les Anges Gardiens (The Guardian Angels) are a French pop-rock band. Their energetic music and catchy melodies make you want to sing and dance in an uncontrollable way.
Their lyrics -- in French or in English -- are frank, direct and simple (but not simplistic), making you peek kindly into the surrounding world. Playing in clubs, bars, or on big stages (Fête de L'Humanité, Splendid de Lille, La Boule Noire in Paris) they give everything. In some café-concerts, they even push on to a three hour show!
They are an entertaining band, with optimism, and open-mindedness in their influences: having a real connection with 70's rock, their songs can also have an 80's pop sound (like Madness or Blondie). In the same way, Les Anges Gardiens "worship" English glam-rock, in particular Slade and The Rubettes, and are fascinated by those catchy 3-minute singles that were on the air. On stage, they don't hesitate to confront their own French repertoire with these hits that left their mark on them, from My Life Music by Felix Da Housecat, to Motorhead by Hawkwind, among others!
And delivering all of this, there is a voice, Fabrice's, reminding one of Polnareff or Lemmy: precise, wide and warm. It supports perfectly well everything from epic pop songs to furious rock & roll.
Since 2005, they have toured through France and Belgium, playing in some cafés-concert, clubs, and auditoriums (bigger and bigger ones), in order to bring their infectious good time to the masses. Since this time, they have captured the attention of Manfred Zarhinger, the German / Danish producer of Scatman (18 million albums sold around the world).
In 2006, the band's touring schedule intensifies: 65 shows covering 15,862 km and1606 liters of gas! From Bordeaux to Lille, crossing the Mayenne and Morvan festivals, they set the La Guinguette Pirate on fire in Paris, and become the Resto Du Coeur (a charity association) mascot band. Thanks to their MySpace page, a faithful network is created. The band recorded a few tracks in their studio, put them up on their MySpage page, and they now can be heard on independent and internet radios.
In addition, Songs With Vision (a song placement agency in Los Angeles) signs an agreement with the band to represent their songs in order to place the tracks on television shows and film projects in the USA.
In 2007, after a joint publishing agreement with WTPL Music (K'Maro, Kamini, Shym, Marcel et Son Orchestre, Map, Axiom) they release a promotional CD that allows them to be heard on the radio; They are now being broadcast on local stations (France Bleu Paris, Nord, Normandie) and national ones, such as Le Mouv', and on the France Inter monthly playlist.
The auditoriums where they perform are now bigger : The Splendid at Lille, the Boule Noire in Paris, the Palais des Expositions in Quiberon, Le Fête de L'Humanité, among other recent shows. They also play in the south of France, in Marseille, Aix en Provence, and also find a warm reception from audiences in Belgium.
During 2008, Les Anges Gardiens have many projects to come : an album release, as well as a tour of the United States West Coast , with Eric Cerda of DCA Recording helping to coordinate the dates.
