Written By: Les Julian

CHOCOLATE IS MY FAVORITE VEGETABLE
©Les Julian
Verse 1

I love peas and green stringbeans, carrots , corn and onions.
Tomato sauce, potato pie, eggplant, beats and broccolli.
But the sweetest one, the one that’s king
The one that makes my taste buds dance and sing,

Chorus
Cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, chocolate-ugh!
Is my favorite vegetable.
I yi, yi, yi, yi ,yi, yi can’t get enough-ugh!
Chocolate to make, make my belly full!

Verse 2

Now the cocoa bean in the cocoa tree make music in the wind
But when milk and sugar meet the cocoa bean the music really begin

Chorus
Cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, cho, chocolate-ugh!
Is my favorite vegetable.
I yi, yi, yi, yi ,yi, yi can’t get enough-ugh!
Chocolate to make, make my belly full!

Bridge
Gimme bonbons, gimme chocolate cake, gimme pompoms, bunnies and chocolate shakes
My favorite pick is when my fingers stick to a handy, candy chocolate kiss---yes!
Give me messa chocolate pudding and hershey bars, find me fishin’ and wishin’ under chocolate stars. I said fishin’ for additional chocolate chips, I snag ‘em by the bag and put ‘em up to my lips. Chew ‘em and goo ‘em either bitter or sweet, I gotta have chocolate lots of chocolate to eat! Who cares if it’s Swiss, German, ‘talion or Dutch? Just gimme, gimme, cocoa bean I love so much!

Chorus
