Leslie Riley

Leslie Riley left California in 1985 for an extended visit to Tennessee to investigate the art of Songwriting. Awed by the South's rich history and wealth of musical talent, Leslie decided to make Nashville her home. A corporate job she took merely to pay the rent advanced into a highly specialized career, but Leslie has thrived by balancing the work with her love of writing and performing. A regular at the Bluebird Cafe and other Nashville venues for years, Leslie has enjoyed the privilege of performing with world class musicians. She treasures those relationships which have influenced her approach to music, the most profound being that of her friend and mentor of 16 years, the late great Michael Hedges. Leslie recorded a seven-song EP with the help of Nashville producer David Henry, and she is currently working on a follow-up project. Leslie's automobile mechanic-husband, DIY TV Network host Mark Lambert, is ever supportive of her music and understands the journey to be as important as the destination. Mark often chauffeurs Leslie to her engagements in a 1936 Packard Super-Eight. Now THAT's Americana.
