The best kept secret in music

"Les Six are a valiant, sexy, and darkly romantic sounding 5 piece ensemble who play brooding, melodic New Wave rock music with electric guitars and keyboards that you can fuck to time and again. Similar To: Interpol, The Fall, Franz Ferdinand" - CMW.net/NOW
"Think Interpol with killer keyboards and a sense of humour, blended with the Fall."
- Sarah Liss
"The first thing you'll notice about these guys is the lead singer's voice. It's deep, slurry and prone to quick screams. Despite the band's nonchalance you'll be floored by their intensity, and then immediately start bopping until they're finished." - MuchMusic.com
"Better than The Stills or The Killers or The Bravery etc...Synth-spiked new wave rock is a hot commodity these days, but Les Six's more sneering punk/glam take on the fashionable sound puts them ahead of all those other pretty-boy bands. They make some, lean, wiry and romantic rock music with some exuberant harmonies and can command that overdone disco beat, which other bands end up flimsily using as a way to get dancing feet."

Bio
Donovan Gopaul and J.S. Roy formed Les Six in January 2003. Roy, bearing a formal connection to The Stills, cut his musical teeth in Stomp Record’s The Undercovers, while Gopaul is known as a reclusive yet acclaimed Toronto song-smith and vocalist. The line-up is completed by Jenny MacIsaac (Tuuli) on bass and Nikos Kougias on bass.
The sound is rich and darkly romantic. Live performances are sweeping and intense and continue to garner the band increasing amounts of attention. Music critic Sarah Liss (Now Magazine) describes the band as “Interpol with killer keyboards…blended with the Fall” while ChartAttack explains, “Synth-spiked new wave rock is a hot commodity these days, but Les Six's more sneering punk/glam take on the fashionable sound puts them ahead of all those other pretty-boy bands.”
Les Six recently finished recording and mixing their debut album, "Clean Kills and Other Trophies", at Signal 2 Noise with noted producer Rob Sanzo (Sum 41, controller.controller). The highly anticipated album is scheduled for an independent release this summer through Addictive Records/MapleMusic/Universal.
