Lesson 22

Lesson 22 like so many other bands was born in a basement, and better yet it was born in the basement of its bass player Matt parents’ home in Norwalk Ohio. All four members of Lesson 22 hail from Norwalk, a place made famous by drag racing and a pesky intestinal virus. But enough about the ground, let’s talk about the crops. Lesson 22 is comprised of the cream of them, the crops that is. Heading up the front of the stage is Kevin Stoll on rhythm guitar and lead vocals; Kevin’s gifted song writing provides a perfect centerpiece for the rest of the band to build around. Over on stage right you can always find Matt Patrick laying down some of the most funk nasty bass licks that keep things moving right along for the whole group. Jumping back to stage left there is the deep sea diving, shucking and jiving Chris “Captain” Kirk on lead guitar. Chris’ tasty leads lend themselves from a heavy influence from The Dave Matthews Band, Led Zeppelin, and some other guys that play guitar. Holding down the back of the stage is Travis Richards on the drums, Travis’ style of drumming is as eclectic as his personality, allowing the group a lot of room to run with different styles and genres.
