Less Than Popular

We have all come from different musical backgrounds that have helped us become who we are...our musical influences include numerous different artists from the 30's to the present such as Muddy waters, The Rolling Stones, The Misfits, The Dead Kennedy's, The Descendants, Social Distortion, Pink Floyd, Tool, etc . We base our music on rhythm n blues, rockabilly, 70's rock, old school punk , and classic rock.
Andrew Penneau (singer) has been singing writing lyrics, poetry short stories and plays for 21 years. My mother is my main influence who showed me all of the great artists I know. The rest of it comes from my own experiences because that is the only stuff worth writing about. I love "Priscilla" my Shure 55 mic and I don't need any vocal effects.
Jim Cayo (bass) has been playing for 21 years. My music influences include Pink Floyd, ELO, Moody Blues, Jane's Addiction and Tool. We are very bass driven so I'm not a "stay in the pocket" bass player. I prefer to use my "Maggie" Ernie Ball music man, Fender P basses and Ampeg amplification.
Jason Roberts (drummer) has been a drummer for the past 20 years and my influences are Misfits, Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin. My style is a fusion between blues, funk and punk and I'm more of a laid back drummer with complicated subtilties. I prefer Zildjian symbols, Pacific Drums and Aquarian heads.
Jim Allee (guitar) has been playing guitar for 24 years. My influences are a mix of old blues and 80's rock. I would much rather express myself through music than words.
We do our own thing and don't cling to one single genre. Real music is writing lyrics and playing songs that really mean something, not just what is popular at the time. That is why we are Less Than Popular.
