Soulfully smooth, meaningful and passionate. Letitia Lindeque will take you on a musical journey of discovery.

Letitia Lindeque was born with a song in her heart, on 15 September in East London, in the Eastern Cape. She was blessed to have been born into a musical family.

She was exposed to many different musical styles at a young age and her love for music progressed naturally. She started playing piano and keyboard “by ear” when she was very young and taught herself most of what she knows.

She actively performed in many productions during her schooling career. In high school she completed her grade 4 in piano and was choir leader for two years.

Being an 80’s and 90’s child, she drew inspiration from the many talented artists of the day, such as Depeche Mode, Moby, Enya, Vangelis, Celine Dion, Cher, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Dire Straits, David Bowie, Prince, Queen, Paula Abdul, Michael Jackson, Natalie Cole, U2 and many more. She has also performed live on many occasions and collaborated with other artists.

Letitia started composing her own music at age 15. She describes her musical style as “varied” and composes songs in genres such as acoustic, blues, soft rock, pop, rock, adult contemporary, dance, club and electronica.

Letitia focuses on lyrics and melody and enjoys taking the listener on a musical journey. Her warm, soulfully smooth lyric soprano, easily captivates audiences. Her ability to portray emotion in her performances and in her compositions attests to her love for music.

She describes herself as being “a passionate person who believes that music carries with it a tiny echo of the creator’s soul”. Letitia hopes most of all to touch the world with her music.

These Days

Written By: Letitia Lindeque

Through the corners of my life
You have always been around
There are times when I’ve been down
But you always lift me up
When I fall you pick me up
When I call you come around
These days, these days
This time round I’ll take my time
This time round I’ll learn to listen
You say wisdom comes with age
Now I’ve finally turned the page
I was blind when I was young
Didn’t realise I was wrong
When I fell you picked me up
When I called you came around
I can never change the past
Least I have a second chance
